We have teachers and then we have TEACHERS and it isn't hard to figure out which ones are which. Teachers are who give us hope for the future not just by what book works they learn, but by the wisdom and maturity they bring to our young people. A real teacher is worth more than we could ever afford to pay. They do it for the love of children and knowledge they can give them to form a bright future. Good luck with the contest.

I'm not really a poetry reader but your title caught my eye. My dream was to be a teacher but it didn't happen, but my daughter is a high school English teacher and I couldn't be prouder of her. I especially get a good feelings when I see her interact with past and present students and the admiration they have for her. Good luck in the contest!
