The two nonets balance each other well and it may be no coincidence that the shape looks like an hourglass. Time has wrought a change of perspective, moving from being on edge and fearing life to facing all trouble bravely and feeling sound.

In the last line, I'm wondering whether you actually mean "accepting life and fighting to thrive" rather than "excepting".
