Miss Vivian it seems has ideas above her station and abover unprepossessing chauffeur as well.

I wasn't sure whether this was supposed to be a period piece or whether the caddy was an old banger just new to her.

You were asked for a story of 150 words. This has 145 so I fear it will not feature on the leader board of the contest.

A flash fiction contest entry - Good for you! It is so difficult to describe flamboyant characters and their vehicles in so few words, but you did it with ease. Should be a contender! Good luck in the contest.

I like the car... I once had a Fleetwood too... but a different model. You did a good job describing the characters of both Vivian and Eddie, the chauffeur.

I like Vivian waving as the car moves...

Thank you for sharing the story with us.

Short and sweet this was obviously a contest entry and just as obvious to a certain number of words? I was getting interested when Bam! Everything stopped. I was enjoying what I read. Hope you do/did well in the contest. Regards Mabaker12

Funny story. Have them fed by Ned. Like the detail like Vivian's flowered hat and handkerchief and Eddie's donkey laugh. And can you really have too many cats?

This was a delightful flash ride. I wish there was more to the story. I loved the original Driving Miss Daisy, her dry humor and her chauffeur well-mannered answers. It was a different story to read and enjoy.

This was so much fun to read! You've painted the picture well with your descriptions. I can just see Vivian sitting in the back, and I can hear the sound of Eddie sucking in his breath and laughing like a donkey. Well done!

Oh, I remember those Cadillacs! Your descriptions of Miss Vivian and Eddie are very vivid and realistic. It's easy to imagine both of them. It's funny about the beer runs. Back then, no propa' lady would be seen buying beer!
I think this will do well in the contest!

You have composed a fascinating story with few words, and developed two very recognizable and memorable characters. The reader would be helped by line spaces between paragraphs.

Thank you for your kind review and comments. I agree with you about the spacing but for some reason it increases the word count.

The FanStory word count isn't correct. Use a word processor, or count by hand and make mention in your notes of how you arrived at the count.

Your story is amusing and a good picture of your two fictionalize characters. One thing I might suggest is use a flowered hat as in 1959 backseats were so high that any brim at all tended to push hats over the face. Best of luck with this.

Wow, Carol I would have never known or thought of that. Thank you for this knowledge.
Thank you for the review and comments. A flowered hat it is.
