Congrats on your prize for this stunning poem. Show vs tell--brilliant. Vivid imagery, spot-on for the theme--dazzling sun fell to its death--stars in disarray. Fine work. Cheers. LIZ

I wish I had six stars to give you for this beautiful and well written love poem without using the word love. You used very good descriptive and loving words. The art work you chose goes so nicely with your words. Best wishes in the contest. love and blessings, Teri

What a beautiful poem for the contest. I like what you said about wanting to show your love rather than just say it. That makes it so much more special. Hope you have many years together.

What a loving tribute to your husband. I will bet that he frames this or keeps this close to his heart. Some times we do not need special words like "Love" to express how we feel.

Felt every emotion on every word, the rhyme pattern though simple is used as a sniper, on point and precise. These words you used, is a delight to read, as if I am reading a old romantic sonet. Beautiful, Thank you for the romantic read.

What a wonderful poem! My wife and I are separated right now, but your poem brought tears to my eyes thinking how I wish her and I were still together. I'm not doing very well without her.

Thank you Lance for this lovely review. I am so sorry to hear about you and your wife. I hope and pray it will work out. Sometimes just saying "I'm sorry" even if it wasn't your fault will start the healing.

Interesting concept to try to write a love poem without using the word in it going to have to give it a try. I'd personally have a few questions if my wife wife and read a poem to me that contains my pass tense life stated in it. LOL. Thank you for sharing your poem and Congratulations to you both.

Thank you for this thoughtful review.
The think the past tense part comes from the world situation - the pandemic - the uncertainty of everyday - and our mortality. We often play the "what if" game with each other and maybe that's where the idea came from.

very nice love poem. Your love for your husband shines throughout the poem. Like the last line the bestBut if you stay with me and hold my hand -
together we'd remember how to run.
To share our lives forever was the plan --
and mold our many fragments into one.

Our destiny - will always intertwine.
Forever - I am yours and you are mine.

Good ending. Good presentation. I like your flow and the words are peaceful. You followed the criteria well. I like the emotion and the color visuals with the grey and the sun. Thanks for sharing.
