Your mother and my mother could have been twins, Sally. I enjoyed reading your fun post on your mom's sayings. As I read each one, I thought of my mother who has been gone 22 years this July 29. Thank you for the memories as Bob Hope would say. Our mothers are up there in Heaven watching us and comparing sayings.

Your mother and my mother could have been twins, Sally. I enjoyed reading your fun post on your mom's sayings. As I read each one, I thought of my mother who has been gone 22 years this July 29. Thank you for the memories as Bob Hope would say. Our mothers are up there in Heaven watching us and comparing sayings.

My mum was on of the most feisty red-haired women I ever knew, she stood 4'10" in her high heels, but could make callow youth quake when they mucked up in a train or bus. Yes, she would be 100 this April, missed out on her telegram from the queen, she finally approved of me in her last days, I was the black sheep, but most like her. I'm sorry about your loss, I'm an orphan too. Bless you Sally, Roy

Thank you for the beautiful review, Ulla dear. My father left us when I was very young, my mother raising four children by herself. She didn't have an easy life, but her humor, love, and hard work to support us made all the difference. She was very special.

This is a beautiful tribute to your mother. It sounds like she knew how to enjoy life despite all the trials and tribulations that came with it. My mother died just short of ninety-nine, but I don't think there was much she enjoyed about life. She worried too much.
