You did a good job, Iza, expressing your thoughts and feelings about your experiences after moving to Canada. It seems all of them--esp the job situation was a 'catch 22' scene. Your words flow well with great details.
May I suggest ~
in the land of Frozen --- "land of the frozen"
matter that you are not a young lad anymore. After all, nobody pushed you to jump in that transcontinental plain, [ plane ]
and because here you are like a newborn baby! The moment you cross the customs [ cross through customs, ] your odyssey starts without delay.
So, what the hell, [ no comma here ] are you doing here?
Hey, what the heck... is going up [ on ]
and finally(,) but not the last thing on your do-to list, is to find a job.
accounts, 100 passwords, and a huge headache! All the career counselors have told you that after you apply on-line for a job [ it is. . . ] is better to follow up with a phone call.
After listening to your request, they finally agree to [ schedule an interview . . .]have with you an interview via Mr. Phone, and [ is this ] this just to give you false hopes, or just because they need to record in the system that they did their job that day. [ add ? ]
I am a black and white over-educated furry [ furry what? add something here ]

No time, there is [ isn't time for losers in this world!" ] any time, for losers in this world!"

Your piece here speaks of the struggles of immigration, the hardships in navigating a new country with new rules and new customs that you have to get used to. Here it is more about the dreams that you had that have now been compromised by the difficulties in applying for a job; the frustrations of being overqualified, not experienced enough, not educated in the new country. It really made me think of my grandmother's journey to New York in 1911 at the age of 23. How difficult that must have been for her. And she never saw her parents or siblings again. estory

Whew! You sure gave us a taste of what it's like to be an immigrant in a new country. The same experience would be in the U.S. but immigrating to the U.S. requires winning the lottery. And then you will have all that Catch-22 bureaucracy to deal with. Thank you for sharing and I love your picture!

Whew! You sure gave us a taste of what it's like to be an immigrant in a new country. The same experience would be in the U.S. but immigrating to the U.S. requires winning the lottery. And then you will have all that Catch-22 bureaucracy to deal with. Thank you for sharing and I love your picture!

If you are still in Canada, I must assume something started to go right for you. I find I am temperamentally a lot like you. (Or I used to be.) I would not want to wait until summer once I made up my mind what I wanted to do.
"transcontinental PLANE"
You need an "it" between "Job" and "is"
You need some sort of punctuation after surprise, like an exclamation point, or at the very lease a colon, and then begin "The" with a capital.]
"another" doesn't work with "luck". "MORE luck" does.

Your momma trained you well. The first rule of survival: find shelter, then food, and finally but not the last thing on your do-to list, is to find a job.

You DO that, and surprise the so-called recruiter/talent acquisition has no idea what are you talking about!

Another year, another CHANCE, at least that is what they are saying in the country from where you come.
Again, hundreds of resumes, hundreds of registration forms, and the result IS again: zero.
Can you compete with somebody who is 17 years old and already HAS 4 years' experience?
