Oh, I'm in tears. How they pulled for her and are doing their best to look out for her tears your heart as she walks away. But then you understand why she has to go. And for the father to lose two sons on this day, one to death, and the other to need.
Alejandro was a strong man. A better man than you see in this day and age sometimes.

Did the boss guess something was going on? Why would he take a baby that needed a lot of medical care? But I'm glad Anna and the baby got away. How sad that Alejandro didn't.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter even when it wasn't paying, I'm quite honored. The boss saw Alex as a way to make more money not an infant needing help. Traffickers see their victims as a commodity, not a human being.

Oh no!! Alejandro is dead? How sad! Poor Anna. At least her brother in law will be with her. Very sad ending to Alejandro life but he died saving his son so he is a hero. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Just love the style of your writing, beginning to end, down to the last sentences to finish this with the dialogue was strong and realistic. Short punchy words that in itself express the emotions. Love those adjectives, like puffy, or squeaky too. etc... Powerful and gripping.

What a spell binding story that has unfolded. Anna is a most pitiful person with such a load to carry and being so young. Life is so hard for abused children. They need our love and help.

She has a means of escape and certainly I would hope that she is able to take advantage of. It is interesting that Alejandro's parents want his brother to go with her.
