An ex-vet worries about his knowledge. Keeping these secrets all these years you are to be commended, but they probably are not secret any more anyway as all intelligence is time-limited. I would like to answer your question as to why they scream but I too have signed the official secrets act and I am not at liberty to say.
Could it be to frighten the enemy do you think?

Thank you for your Support Time Reading, and Rating this poem offering. I believe or have heard that the jets screaming has to do with clearing and making" Friendlies" aware of the incoming munitions. The screaming reference in this poem is a frustration, yes enough time has passed many years ago.

I would love to attend such an air show as this. I am fascinated by the war planes of the second world war as they fought in the air, real combat where death is just around the corner. We have screaming missiles now that are far more deadly, a fine write, love Dolly x

Most Airshows will have the newer jets, an airplane museum or County Fair is the best bet for those Mustang type planes.
