Isn't this just adorable, Melissa. Ballet is a very difficult dance form, and this young ballerina has it all.

You have captured all of it so perfectly within a well-metred and rhymed minute.

Many thanks for sharing today. :)

You chose a great, adorable topic for your minute poem, which is skillfully-composed and enthusiastically descriptive of an entertaining
cute scene. Bravo

Great minute poem. Your rhythm and rhyme are excellent. The subject of dancing is perfect for the form. In the picture, the girls' legs look pretty heavy, but if she keeps up her dancing, maybe they'll slim down. It's wonderful to have a passion that can be pursued for a lifetime. Even if she's not a professional dancer, she can always participate in dance. I think it's wonderful for kids to take dance lessons. My great niece did for several years, and she enjoyed it. judi

You're very welcome. From the looks of the little one in the picture, I don't see much of a future as a professional dancer with legs like that. She can still have fun and maybe turn out to be not so chubby, thanks to the exercise. judi

Melissa,

All children should be allowed to participate in the arts (and sports), regardless of their athletic or artistic talent level. I had no musical talent but I enjoyed playing the full size accordion for about three years - maybe to 6th grade. I am sorry I stopped. I was not smart enough to continue.

Your story should be read by all parents. Children excel with the opportunity of just trying.

Hey Mark. Thanks so much for this encouraging review. I agree that all children need to been given chances to be creative in all aspects... as long as its reasonable... hiking a mountain alone... now that would give me pause. :). So appreciate your comments!!

Hello Melissa!
So precious and exceptionally well-executed!
Reminded me of ... are you ready? Me? Oh! How I yearned to be a classical ballerina - if only I had been blessed with "skinny" toes/ legs!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful rendering!

I will have to remember that you are twinkle toes, Diane. You are never too old to dance, my friend.... perhaps, ballroom??? I have a friend that tries to get me and hubby to join them. :). Thanks so much for the lovely review. I am really glad you liked it.

What a cute poem. I'm sure the baby will be a delight to see. Who knows, she might he a prima ballerina someday. Your poem is well-written, a fun read. Your picture is adorable.

This is a lovely minute poem! And we've all seen this in little girls who just naturally want to dance and walk around on their toes. Loved that you even used the official ballet term, "en pointe!"

Your minute poem describes the ballet girl well, Melissa. I could see her as I read this, dancing all those moves. Your image is supportive. Your lines read smooth and create great imagery. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan
