I like the way this piece pulls you in, walks you through, and then lets you out. The same way the paining does. It also gives you a little smile thinking of a kangaroo cooking on a grill.

If a kangaroo cooking on a barbecue is an "Aussie norm," I definitely need to visit Australia. This is very cute. I love the photo, and the rather conversational tone of the poem, making the reader feel like this might actually be the norm. Thank you for the smile, and good luck in the contest.
