"Buddy" is an introduction of two people in a clever. The exchange of names behind their masks was special. The ending was surprising, yet sentimental showing an obvious age difference in the new friends. Well done.

Awww, such a sweet story, I was wanting it to be non-fiction. Actually, they say dog parks are the best place to meet the opposite sex (or same, whatever you're seeking ; ) I suppose a love of dogs is a good start. Personally, I'm a cat woman, so it wouldn't work for me.

Your story is a well-told transition from an unexpected rescue of the dog's trapped foot, to an unexpected friendship developing.
The only blip I felt was in the first paragraph - where you said "It was quiet at 9 a.m on the forest path", but at the same time Brandy was giving out "blood- curdling yelps".
