Grammar note, -Be sure and say "Please"! -Exclamation mark should be inside the quotation, although it does vary in American English, I just think it's cleaner.

Also "Or a bright blue, beautiful butterfly" - I'd drop the comma, it makes the alliteration more fun.

Hello
a good poem for the writing prompt of fairies and children.
It is nice to read something whimsical and sweet.
I liked the feel, light and full of hope.
I remeber looking for wee peopl under leaves and buttercups, and setting out milk at night...

A sweet tale of these magnificent insects and I adore dragonflies and we have huge ones here that look like small helicopters darting about. I was in another world whilst reading, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
