I don't think you followed the prompt very well. This is definitely a poem bashing the parties and you didn't write stanzas about the Republicans or the Democrats. I will give it to you, you insulted the parties equally. Good luck in the contest.

'tis true. I approached the prompt this way because The two party system facade is? Well, I am not supposed to defend my work, but I explained it in my notes. Thank you so much for your rating and comments. hugs.

There is so much truth in your poem! There isn't really that much difference between the Democrat party and the Republican party - they are both just interested in getting and retaining power. They do not work for us, the people, and what you say in your last stanza is so true - we need to band together as citizens and take back our country from those who don't care about it as much as they care about themselves.

There is so much truth in your poem! There isn't really that much difference between the Democrat party and the Republican party - they are both just interested in getting and retaining power. They do not work for us, the people, and what you say in your last stanza is so true - we need to band together as citizens and take back our country from those who don't care about it as much as they care about themselves.
