I'm a struggling writer and most definitely a struggling reader as I attempt to read and understand the mind of a poet. It often leaves me pondering phrases (bits and pieces) regardless if I understood the whole concept of the poem. You and others knock my cobwebs away and I venture to follow your imaginations. Smiles!

an interesting take on the nature of God and the universe. I like how you built the tension until the very end and the fact that it not at all clear what God you are talking about. Well done.

Victor,
"As should be our nature." Yes...someday...maybe.
Your reflections with few words have a lot of depth.
"My lessons
inure me
and yet
elude as well"
Me too! You give your readers pause of thought here. Interesting use of ken and thanks for sharing.

How wonderful it is to see a reader/reviewer resonate with what one has written. Hard to describe the "Zen-like" feeling that occurs. Thank you.

Thank you. For your review and for your work. My daughter actually tested the software for Perserverance.

Enjoyed the sparse, fragmentary style of this piece. And the word 'ken' always get me excited. Had to look up 'inure'- definitely will be using that in the future.

Yes, lol, "inure" is an exceptional word. Don't know exactly where I picked it up, but when you need it, it comes to the fore.

Wow! my understanding of this work is still a little mixed, I know it gives me some wonderful images, " and yet elude as well", I could try to explain what I read but I think this kind of wonderful poetry should be up to the individual to take what they feel, very well done and thank you for sharing****kahpot

And thank you for reading it. For an open mind, willing to sway in the breeze, fly as a kite forlorn, for no matter the end, the flight is exhilerating enough to warrant such.

'Of This', is an extremely well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. It was a pleasure to both read and review this talented poet's work. I very much look forward to seeing your post.

Your final four lines elicit great joy in my heart. We fall so far short of the serenity of acceptance and forgiveness--even of ourselves--so often! Loved your pithy little author's comment ("just getting older")-- Fact is, as one who is in the same (aging) boat...I do believe wisdom comes with the passage of years on this confounding planet!--Karenina

As I understand it, we either get older - or we don't. And, if we don't, who's going to write this wonderful poetry in your place? So good to see you again, my friend.
