Oh this is so beautiful Amada. Poetry that arises straight from one's environment through moments of inspiration, solace are so inspiring, and perfectly complemented with the tanka form.
So lovely and I wish you much good luck with the Contest Committee. :)

For some people, nature has a way of renewing their strength. I think what it amounts to, if people are open to nature, such things occur . My grandmother, when she was alive, told me when she was a child, of a thunderstorm that was happening. A fireball came towards the house, went through the screen door and then up the fireplace chimney. No one was hurt but I never heard of anyone having that experience previously. Best wishes.

Wow! I think that you have a winner here. I'm just out of six star ratings, Amada. I love word haunting word choices. I particularly like your third and fourth lines. That third line is a great turning line. I love that you call your sorrows dust and that you speak of bends and centers.
Well done.

I think sometimes the sunshine can be just what we need. It's been cold but it's also been sunny. I think the sun has made the cold a little more bearable. I could also be crazy for thinking that as well. I hope you're feeling better.

Hello, Amada,
Beautiful tanka that works well expressing your sad mood. I really like the imagery... from the dark of your room (and spirit) dawn's light (maybe god's light) The light mends your center. Great job. Good luck in the contest!

Of course it was a sign of encouragement from God, don't ignore the signs, who else do you think gave it? This is a great revelation, and a worthwhile tanka, well done, blessings Roy
