Talk about carrying a torch! Very clever take on the image for this contest; nice oblique reference to "green with jealousy," without being trite. Thanks for the good read. However, the rhyme scheme really falls apart in the last two stanzas. I bet you can fix that. If you do, message me and I'll edit my review.

It is a sad poem. The emotions are well written like:
"Still in my mind during dark of night."
"So many years ago holding her tight."
"Yet my mind churns after all this time."
