That's pretty prophetic, "There's nothing left to see." I don't think that's particularly true, there's always something left to see, I think so anyway, a large world out there, but a great little tale Iza, well done, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : Some (or) calling him...are? 2: Other(s) the loser.

You did a great job, Iza. Your story has good flow and great imagery. You give readers much to think about. I like the dialogue. The image is supportive. This man had a great outlook on life and did life by his own beliefs.
Respectfully, Jan

Hi, Iza! I am trying to get caught up a bit today, and haven't seen this collection before! Interesting title!

Couple of thoughts
~ He come into the city under the No Name policy. Everyone thought he is running >> He came into the city under the No Name policy. Everyone thought he was running >> Since you're looking back on his life, stay in the past tense. :)
~ man of a few words >> man of few words >> It's kind of a phrase, used without the 'a'.
~ He said: "I will move upstairs when there will be nothing left to surprise me." >> He said, "I will move Upstairs when there is nothing left to surprise me." >> I'd cap 'upstairs' simply because he's using it in place of Heaven, which is a place.
~ decided that is time to go peacefully as he come." >> decided that it was time to go as peacefully as he had come. >> no need for quotation marks here.

I think I pick THAT way to die! He had all his 'stuff' done, chose the tie and place. Yes, that sounds the way to do it!
Blessings,
Deb

I thought it was a poignant portrait of someone unknown, that unknown face in the crowd around us, who passes almost unacknowledged from us into the next life. There's a resignation to it, a sense of the seasons of life maybe, that we need to pass through on this journey of life. There's also this sense of losing connection with a world that has gone haywire, lost its sense of compassion and love. estory

That's so unusual to have someone appear to have so much control over his own life, choosing his own time of "going." I think most people realize that so much of life is outside of their control and need to turn over to God. Thanks for sharing about this interesting character and his epitaph.

This is an interesting story but at the end it is very sad. I find to be a good story. Interesting plot to the story. Excellent work! No grammatical errors. Thanks for sharing!

Point taken--He made a wise choice!

I made my own fate and ABIDED by my own rules." Every Sunday, his epitaph ATTRACTED lots of visitors.

Some CALLED him the Philosopher, OTHERS the Loser, and some the Prophet.

Everyone thought he WAS running from something

"I will move upstairs when there IS nothing left to surprise me."

One day he realized that humanity lost its battle with kindness and decided that WAS time to go AS peacefully as he CAME."
