Loved it, this is an awesome contest entry!
Best of luck to you!
Also, is it weird that I read the whole thing in some form of Irish dwarf accent? haha

I've seen several other entries and this is sure different! Jaunty and jivin' cougar vs the mournful victim of his captivity. Probably not what the judges are expecting--let's hope they'll escape their cage and go for it!

My, my your words have snared me. I think you may be writing about me. If I had been born a cat I would have used my nine lives by the time I was nine. Approaching 81 I am still learning and often my prompts come from nature -- birds being tops. Best to you with the entry.

For the the first time I begin to understand why the mountain lion, the cougar's name got purloined as a a soubriquet for the predatory elder woman, preying on younger male flesh. I still think it is a little hard on the beautiful animal, but hard is what she wanted so she can't complain.

Lol..this is very funny. It's nice to see a little humor for this challenge, as many have been quite serious. I think that may be a lioness, but who cares....your southern drawl was on point. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. :)

I really like the way you use slang in a jive way to get across the attitude of the lioness. It's very clever and really works to engage the reader. Nicely done!
