This is awesome! I wonder the same thing. If trees could talk, what would they tell us about their lives.

I enjoyed your poem for the tree hugger contest. They are still and silent observers, watching history is a perfect use of the syllable count needed to end this poem. The picture you chose shows up blank to me, it's an empty box, could just be my issue though. Well done and good luck!
