Lovely poem. There are many things in this world where we are unprepared. Life would have been different if we are prepared. But how can we be prepared for the weather which change so suddenly. So, also with life. Great work.

I like the words to your poem they go perfect together with the artwork they gave you
Your poem captured my attention from the first line to the last.
This is what I call a food for thought poem
That what he gets for not listening to his wife.
Thank you for sharing

This poem is a strong metaphor. It becomes a cautionary tale. If we begin anything without a care, we need to keep one eye open. Is that the difference between an idealist and a realist. I have a theory that an idealist will eventually become a realist. This would be a good subject for discussion.

I like the flow of this poem and the sentiment it conveys. I too often go out unprepared for a possible change in weather, which has resulted in an over-abundance of heavy sweaters and hoodies! Good luck in the contest.

It sounds like a metaphor for life - we should try to prepare ourselves for all events - if we can, or at least, he should have listened to his wife!
Enjoyed your poem which is like a Minute poem but with one less short line and more stanzas.

Suggestions:
A manly skoff (scoff)
The weathers fine (weather's) contraction for 'weather is'

My spell check let me down on that one (skoff). Maybe it is because I am Scandinavian that I want to put a 'K' in everything like the word 'skol'? Just kidding. Thanks for your review. It was fun playing with this one.

Yes, I don't think this exists 'officially' as such but personally I don't believe that matters and your poem reads smoothly, with a good rythm that seems to march to the wind.
An extremely minor point: is it skoff or scoff?

The one time when we should heed the advice of our spouse! He should have taken a coat here, the weather looks horrendous, a clever write Annie, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thank you for reviewing. This was a fun one to play around with. Even with my spelling mistake. I have found that spell check does not catch all. Even when the words are in the dictionary.

That works. Weather is something that can turn nasty in a minute. If you are without a coat and it starts to pour rain, you'll get soaked. That is quite adverse. Also, turn cold, get windy. You've covered it well.

This poem is certainly timely, and the weather hit me hard. Today I had to cancel my vaccine shot because of it. Anyway, I found that this poem had a nice beat and a good meter. I enjoyed reading it.
