Dearest Amada...as the good person you are I do not expect less. I posted my poem before seeing yours, and would have put mine below as respect as I firmly believe that a way of respecting the lovely Joan E. I truly thank you for this beautiful tribute.
God bless her soul and journey. I found out about it only recently so hadn't had time to compile a poem, but I give my thanks through you and those with tributes.
Hope you and family are well...keep safe. RIP Joan E.

Beautifully written tribute to Joan. I hear so many good things about Joan and her poetry and the kind of person she was. Sadly I didn't meet her on fanstory I'm fairly new. I like your conclusion holding my breath I heard the roar of her pen. Now free of pain she will travel for an eternity. Beautiful peaceful photo.

Dear amada, I was amazed to learn that Joan was one of your first fans many many years ago. I only joined one year ago and she was one of my first fans. Perhaps our connection was that we were both from Southern California. I lived only 45 minutes away from her. We exchanged info about back yard plants and birds.
P.S. I got to go on a docent tour of the Gettty, years before I met her here, on FanStory. ( a very special friend indeed, was she.)

Oh, how great it could have been to live close to Joan! Wow! Joan was one of my first fans; each time I postedd something, one minute later it was her kind and fresh review; it felt like a hug!

Saying goodbye, though difficult is only a formality, for this one should and no doubt will, live on and be ever present in your memory of them. I truly regret not having had the opportunity of meeting this gentle soul. I had a similar relationship with the late Brooke Baldwin. She mentored me and the difference in my writing, the improvement was almost immediate and long lasting.

Hi dear nomi338. Oh my God, I didn't know that Brooke Baldwin passed away also. I didn't wrote in FS after the tragic loss of my grandson; deeply ddepressed. Maybe that is the period of her passing. I took a class with her too, about women writers. OMG!

Yes it broke my heart. She sort of adopted me and helped me become much more serious about my writing. I miss her so much.
