This episode was action packed and a bit amusing. What a great surprise the reader had as Christa went into action. I'm glad she didn't just let him run away. I don't think that other intruder is returning anytime soon. Moohaha

You know how to do an action scene. Wow. I haven't come across this story before, but I may have to retrace it back to the beginning. The characters are engaging. I already care about Crista and Pam. Looks like these girls are not to be messed with, especially Crista.
Missing word?
"Unfortunately, if he is not here, we've been paid [to] leave him a message," said the talker; he nodded to one of his companions.

Lancellot,
uuuhhh.. I guess not. Beaten by two tiny girls? I don't think I'd admit that either. And go back? Ummm... no. Probably not the best course of action, either. This was so much fun! Thank you!

You really excel in the action sequences
Pam's dress and nick the soft skin of her ample breasts. [I've got mixed feelings about this line. The important point is that the dagger nicked her breast. Is it a time to make her look alluring?]
"I believe you. I believe you," Crista screamed, [I don't understand why she is saying this as she stabbed the man. Did it have to do with his threat? Or what she remembered from when Paul killed Joqumoe? It just seems an odd thing to be chanting as she killed.
Always entertaining.

Yes, she is chanting that because that is why Paul killed Joq. She is still a teen and seeing that killing left scars much like what happened with Raymond when he was young.
Actually, I didn't think of that line with Pam as alluring. I suppose it is. I was thinking because her breasts were large she could avoid the tip of the dagger, and because they were soft, she was easily cut. But, maybe I was over thinking it.
Thank you, Jay. I will look at those closer.

Dear lancellot, Even if she screams like a woman, we now know Crisra will fight. Probably fight until she is dead, if necessary. Once Paul has had time to train her more, she will be an awesome warrior.

Wow! Okay, I literally have no idea of plot or characters and such here, Sir Lancelot, but what a well-written chapter with wonderful situational presentation and great emotional characters!! Thanx for sharing and best of luck with your book! :) Yvette

lancellot:
If a 10-pound girl killed the other two assassins with me, I would
not be telling anyone I was there, either, as I would be the laughing
stock of the entire place. Besides that, there's likely a noose with
his name on it for violating the Earl's land.

How quickly things can change. Crista and Pam were having some girl talk when they are suddenly menaced by the two men who are bent on seeking revenge, and they don't seem to mind who they kill. If Paul isn't there, they'll settle for Crista. The talker wants Paul to pay for killing his brother when Paul rescued Crista. Crista is brave to tackle the men, but she's had a bit of training on what to do. She saves her life and Pam's, too. I like the way you're developing Crista. You are now showing so much more to her than the slave. judi

Thank you very much, Judi. I see I need to make that clearer. The men are there to kill the Earl. They just happen upon Pam and Crista after killing a guard.

Crista is not to be messed with, is she. I'm glad Paul taught her to defend herself. I am wondering if there will be any repercussions to her actions. This story gets more and more interesting.
