This is a nicely written 3-5-3 poem. Beauty is metamorphosis through ages. I like this analogy. Transformation that happens over time. Great photo. Good luck in the contest.

    Joanne,

So pleased you liked this short poem and its artwork. Greying hairs and wrinkled skin can be beautiful too. LOL

Thanks for your good luck in the votingl

Your poem sums up time and how age brought through changes is still beautiful. Beauty is more than just outward appearance. Using reference to the biological process of transformation makes the poem relevant to all life forms.

Thank you for your recognition that beauty is only skin deep and that the true beauty comes from inside our soul.

There is more to beauty than youth. We all become or can become more beautiful through love and wisdom. I enjoyed the thought behind this wonderful poem.

Grey hairs and wrinkled skin are beautiful too. There is a metamorphosis that occurs between birth and old age: both stages in life have wrinkles!

What a great thought. Senior citizens like me need to remember this every day. Thanks for sharing it. You penned an excellent poem for the five/three/five contest.

Lovely entry re: the transition of beauty throughout life. I think this is a good topic for the brief art form set up in the contest. Best of luck in the competition.

This offers a nice message, implying that beauty is wherever, and whenever, you choose to find it, as well as the fact that one's own definition of beauty can change as one ages and learns to appreciate different kinds of beauty. There are many meanings that can be assigned to these carefully chosen words. Thanks for the read.
