What an amazing poem. I love the depth of the subject.
I don't know, looks like you left something out in the sentence. Maybe a dash where the hyphen and space are???
Some were dear to my heart, others- best forgotten.

Erica: You are absolutely right about the dash. I don't have MS Word and I couldn't find the 'Dash' symbol in the 'insert' tab of Open Office 4 software. I am delighted my poem touched your feelings.
