This poem, Jealous Suspicion, presented in AABB-rhymed quatrains, reminds us of the sense of possession which dominates our psyche and makes for a suspicious nature. Many a couple have felt it's power.

Thanks Bill, I hope that you are not to be counted among the unfortunate ones who have fallen victim to this problem. By the way, thanks for the review.

I thought I had missed this my brother, as I worked backwards in my message box. I have been away, and these stars are all I have to give, though I know that is not the most important.

Good rhythm with this, and once again that down to earth, life-like feeling I get when reading from you.
Bravo.
Have a great weekend.
My best wishes.
RG

The author's poem describes jealousy so well. The author's words are
clear, troublesome, and creative. Thank you for the author's notes - I
agree jealousy is evil. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork
is perfect and compliments this poem. Hope you are doing well....Maria

I hope this is not a true story. Jealousy is a terrible thing and can destroy a relationship. There must be trust or there can be no relationship. All the best. Jen

Happily, it is a work of fiction. It is however, based on the observance of this terrible condition in some others that I have been forced to watch. Thank you for your great review comments.

very nice mediation on the nature of jealousy and the impact it has relationships well done indeed like the last stanza the best I do not expect you to cheat.
Jealous suspicion I must defeat.
This love is a love that I eagerly sought.
I must not harbor another jealous thought.

Like your rhyming and also the poem's verses....jealousy is quite the word to summarize. Sorry to say that it can end up in divorce or a tragic scenario of some kind if there is jealousy. But it does not always have to appear in a marriage to see this happening.

Absolutely. Jealousy is like a cancer and it needs to be gotten rid of if at all possible. Thank you for your comments.

Excellent photo and poem, Nomi. Unwarranted jealousy can ruin even the best of relationships. Trust is the key word, and even though it's difficult to tear down barriers and trust someone--especially being hurt before--but trusting another person, and having another person trust you without conditions is the best foundation for love.
Good luck in the contest, Nomi!
Cindy

Your well-written, descriptive poem wisely addresses a killer of love. Your message about what jealousy does to relationships is powerful. The artwork is perfect; their expressions reveal suspicion.

Ah, jealousy... That's a difficult emotion, for sure. Your poem addressed it very realistically. Nicely written, very polished. I look forward to reading more of your work!
