This is a cute poem, and the picture is darling. The kyrielle form is new to me. You have followed the required format, but I think your second line has only 7 syllables. I like the repeated line throughout. Best wishes for the contest.

Thanks for your review. There seems to be different opinions as to how many syllables that line has, I'll leave it in the hands of the judges.

You're welcome.

Really a sweet poem. We all need to make that very special call to the Lord asking for His salvation and peace. We will never find it any where else. Well done, hope you do well in the contest.

I know children often feel they can "call" God on a make-believe telephone or just using their imagination. This Speaker's special call tells us he/she is troubled, perhaps by the pandemic and lock-down which causes separation from family. I truly felt I was listening to this "special call."

Thanks for your review. It's interesting how people are interpreting this poem.

I had to read this a couple of times before I realized it's an age progression of praying to God. I really liked that it went from the innocent child "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" to a man praying at the end of his life that God give his family and friends care and comfort. Good luck in the contest.

A wonderful way to teach a child about the meaning of prayer and what it really is! ;) Great Kyrielle for the contest here -- thanx for sharing and best of luck! ;)

This is super sweet. I wasn't brave enough to give the Kyrielle writing prompt a go, buy yours turned out so well.
Good luck in the contest. Cheers!
