It has been a very trying past four years for America, and as a Canadian I have been fascinated by the way your democracy flirted with disaster--however it appears that America is back on track, and your poem is a cautionary tale that freedom is fragile and must be worked at constantly to be kept intact--very enjoyable

That is a wonderful poem of gratitude for what we have. God has indeed been generous - there is so much to be thankful for. I enjoyed your rhyming and meter.
These stood out:
My home provides both peace and rest,
in country God has seemly blest.
Here I can worship as I please,
erect or on my bended knees.
Excellent imagery and visuals. Thank you so much for sharing.

We've been in worst stages than this. Born in 1925 I'm sure you remember those terrible things. I do understand you, all what you written should be. We should be free to speak, worship and be who we choose. And we are and we're not. Every society seems to go through this, time and again. I hope we make it.

I like the following paragraph: "The flag flies freely o'er our land, as symbol of our freedoms stand." This is America, A land of freedom. Our vote represents our freedom.
The poem also says: "We have the need to unify and keep Old Glory flying high." Certainly after a year of chaos and disaster, we definitely need to unite and heal the hatred and racism.
