I can honestly say that's there's hope for our country. After the riots, I felt fear for our country leaders, but I think if we have faith in our God, things will get better. Like your tradition of your poem. We should never take freedom for granted.

I feel the same way! Your poem had great rhyme and rhythm, and the topic is one of which I can relate. I pray that the United States of America will not fall victim to evil, power and greed... And that we will stay free and evolve into a stronger democracy. Hugs.

-I agree with you beginning with line one.
-I love this country and the rights we
have to express ourselves, as long as it
is orderly, peaceful, and respectful.
-We have always been a country where
different views are allowed, but abusing
that right is unacceptable.
-We do have "the need to unify" and
I have to believe we are now on
our way to keeping these freedoms safe.
-It will take work, effort, and perseverance,
but I think we can do it!

we have to go on in life...but everyone is in shock of what just happen...who would have thought...
I believe Jay that God is fighting for us sweet guy...
we just have to be patient...I guess that is what true faith is all about...now is the test...

Well written and has a great cadence. I like how you didn't put a photo such as a flag or something. You let your writing speak and create the emotions. It had the tone of something written long ago and yet is still meaningful today. Your piece gives the reader pause to think and that is a good thing. Nice job.
