I am confused by the author note. How do you tell people how to relate to your poem? Surely they are going to relate it to the religion they follow because that is their experience and that is how the human brain works... Are the notes a disclaimer of sorts? Are you a Sikh or are you meeting a Sikh in the profile picture? Just curious. Always curious. Be well.
