Clever blurb--spot-on for a T-shirt or bumper-sticker! Flows well, catchy rhythm--nice RR alliteration--makes its point aptly and succinctly. Good luck.

-Interesting artwork and
good presentation, Mark.
-You have used your 15 syllables
well with a good topic.
-I also like your message and
agree with it.
-I would say that rigid thinking
would leave on stagnant, not
being inclined to move forward
or explore new ideas.
-A very good poem; good luck!

Yes some seminal sentiments expressed here in this 15 syllable poem entry for the contest - 'rigid thinking' can act as a barrier or deterrent to exploration

'Creating Opportunities', is short succinct and thought-provoking. Woven through each short line are the golden threads of truth. Good luck with the contest! My fingers are crossed for you.

Your 15 syllables is a great inspirational poem for those who hear the beat of a different drum and those who want to control them. Great job with the syllable count, the image, and your true message that is well-stated. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

So true and it is always best to keep an open mind and our rigid thoughts are sometimes there to protect us as when we let our guard down, be get bitten, but then again we miss out on life, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

    Thanks Dolly!

So pleased you liked my short verse. Keeping an open mind (and writing poetry) during this pandemic is important to our mental health.

    Keep safe. Stay healthy.

Mark, you hit the nail on the button with this piece. Fifteen syllables but full of punch. Rigid thinkers certainly do not help make the world go round... or allow for walks on the moon. I have a spare six for you :-) ~DD

Thanks for your extra star DD!

Now that Perserverance is walking around on Mars and sending us photos, we are glad that our scientists seized on the opportunity to explore beyond our atmosphere.

Good use of the syllables, kind of like minds and parachutes only work... I like both the verse and the picture, I am a fan of the shorter succinct forms of poetry, well done

Thanks Stephen for your review and stars. My poetry wheelhouse does not include longer verses. My typical poems use the 5-7-5 syllable format.

This 4/8/3 poem speaks about fruition and effect of rigid thinking as it often restricts scopes or opportunities to explore; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

This is a great 15 syllable poem. Rigid thinking oft restricts opportunities to explore. So true. One has to stay open to possibilities. Nicely done.
