Hi Sister Pat, I like your opening statement "small fish in the white water streams of life"
That really describes my feelings about myself.
As I think you know, I am a retired Pastor, but I always felt like a small fish in the white water
streams of other Pastors with whom I ran. Thinking back on those years, It probably kept

A very well-written encouraging and uplifting poem. We can fir many years live daily without a purpose and it seems we are victims of things higher than us pressing us down until we find Jesus who lifts us up with Him.

Not everyone can be a big fish. A small fish can accomplish a great deal. Just saying that we need to be realistic about what we can accomplish. I believe thinking you can do all things is a bit unrealistic. We may be able to do more than we think we can, but we can't always expect miracles. Good luck with your book. Keep us informed of its progress. judi

What a beautiful comparison! And it's so true - nearly all of us feel like a "small fish" swimming in the stream of life, fighting off big fish and just trying to survive. I love the way you ended the poem!
