This seems to be the new normal in life and politics (the underbelly of life)--- Brave of you to voice your opinion in a contest--touching on the theme of the Donald. I applaud your candor. Your truth is mine. Good luck!--Karenina

Thanks, karenina. It's probably too much truth for conservatives.

OH, you'll know if you hit the real Trumpsters! You'll get a three or a four...and NOT based on your skill as a writer! It's happened to me!--Karenina

This is a poem of politics. I like the followings and agree with them.

"Truth is honesty..."
"Today (under Trump) telling lies is seen as normal; since the truth causes problems."
"Reality is subjective today, so lie away; we believe."

God, bless America, no more lies please.

Your message is clear. It is a nice poem, but I thought it had to be
5-5-7-7. Maybe I misunderstood the requirement. If so, I'm in trouble because I did one of these poems, too.

Well, thanks for sharing your work. Perhaps I learned something about following requirements. I am pretty new at this.
Keep up the great work.

I read the instructions as 7 stanzas of the 5-5-7 formatting.

Wow. I must have missed it. I'm glad you caught it. Anyway, good work.

I agree with your premise that, sadly, truth has become greatly blurred, lies have become the accepted norm, and truth has become subjective in our nation. You've done well with the 5-5-7 format in 7 stanzas. Best wishes in the contest.

Yes an interesting commentary on Truth, as we have come to know it in our crazy times - and its many and varied facets as outlined here- it's concerning how younger generations may come to view Truth - through which lens will they look?

I think you are absolutely right, and you have expressed your thoughts clearly and well in this poem. Truth has been the collateral damage of all politics recently. Good wishes for the contest.

I appreciate your well written poem, but disagree with your stance on Trump supporters. If you want to examine lies a little closer, how about president Biden saying he was pro labor, and then canceling the construction of the keystone pipeline that cost thousands of jobs....and the list goes on. The truth may be subjective, but not on the part of Trump supporters. It's the Democratic party that bends and breaks the truth and thier promises. Now I've got that off my chest, best of luck in the contest. :)

Trump supporters are under a spell. If a thousand people were hired to keep wild fires going in California, Trump supporters would love the jobs created and blame the loss of forest on liberals.

The thing that fascinates me is how angry Biden supporters still are about Trump and his supporters. You guys won....it's probably time to let this go....unless the left is worried that Donald Trump will run again in 4 years.

It?s amazing how Trump fans are blind to all but money.

Nicely done. I could feel your frustration. Or, perhaps it was my frustration. Ha! This is the thing that has bothered me the most this past year... All of these big issues we've been dealing with and so many people trying to subvert the truth.

Good luck in the contest.

Your poem seems to be a little like a written commentary than a poem. The message is good though. Definitely has trueness to it. You should start a commentary contest. You would be good at that.

Great poem for the topic of truth, it is very relevant right now, your right media portray a one-sided view of everything, they promote fear and do not give the true view of the world, unfortunately, some people believe everything they hear.

Good luck, thanks for sharing
