What a sweet story about the forget me not. I read Jan's. It took quite a different approach! Strange where our thoughts can lead us. This poor flower felt so sad about forgetting her name, but God must have made her feel better, especially when He said her name would be "Forget Me Not." She'll surely remember that. Delightful poem. judi

Awwww, I like this story about how the Forget-Me- Not got her name, Yvonne. At first I was thinking Shrinking Violet. That didn't fit, but soon I understood what the name came to be. Well done my friend. Love it! Nancy:)

Thank you. It just came to me after reading Jannypan's poem. I'm so glad you like it.

Hi Yvonne. How have you been? Surprising, isn't it as to how much pain we can tolerate before things turn around. I hope you are feeling just a teeny bit better now, dear friend.
And I love Forget-Me-Nots. I have a bunch growing everywhere on my property.
Bless you, Bob

I'm going to plant some this spring. Thank you for asking. Yes, I'm a bit better, but I'll never be whole again. I still cry at the drop of a hat, but I'm sure that will improve. Sometimes, I feel if I have a good time or laugh at something, it's being as if I've forgotten him, and I feel guilty for being alive. Irrational, I know, and John would be the first one to tell me to stop it and enjoy life. Thank you, Bob. You're a dear man.

Hi Yvonne. So glad to see that time is helping you. Yes, I have experienced those crying issues a swell as other things...even years later. I understand perfectly how you feel guilty to have fun and laugh. It's crazy, but normal, my dear. Thanks for responding. Bob

You have been a big help and a blessing to me. You're concern and wise words have meant a lot to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

XX You need these and I am only too happy to have helped. Your friend for life...Bob

This was absolutely great Yvonne. It was an easy reading poem with a nice rhyme and a purpose. I enjoyed the concept of God's garden, which is really everywhere. And I especially enjoyed God's renaming, it is of course one name that will not be forgotten.

'God Named Her', is an extremely well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. It was a privilege to both read and review this talented poet's work.
To me this is a true six!

I know this story as I wrote about these beautiful flowers in my book and your poem reminded me of the legend. Although I remember it slightly differently to your interpretation, a most enjoyable poem, love Dolly x

I was inspired by Jannypan's poem. I wasn't writing about the legend, but what came to my mind. Thanks so much, Dolly.

Here we have a delightful little story for the middle of winter when, as yet, nothing blooms in my garden and the ground resembles a dirty sodden sponge. I suppose I should be thankful I am not under water like some.

Oh, dear, yes, you should. Everything is bare here, too, but I have new shoots of last year's petunias in my flower boxes. Strange weather. Thanks, Jim.
