This was great Yvonne, there is always something to learn, a hint here and there, a story to be told. It was a wonderful twist regarding the new president, sadly I do believe they love dogs but I could be wrong. Great job.

Thank you so much. I don't what pet will live in the White House yet. I don't imagine we'll be getting any questions from that direction. lol

You are so welcome Yvonne, I doubt it as well.

This is awesome, PC & P. I loved reading it and learned so much. Now I understand with the little duck follows the kitty. I have also gulped my food and thrown up from eating too fast. The info about turtles and hibernation was awesome. I hope they stay warm. I like being only cat. That was great when the kitty was reunited after three years after being lost. You both do such an awesome job sharing info, answering questions, and finding the most interesting sweet pictures too. Take care. Stay warm.

Hello, ladies!
What super-duper advice and information you two smart folks always lend to us - (less well-informed) folks. haha
This was another really enjoyable and entertaining post. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD at the duck and the cat. HOW FABULOUS!!!!! That alone made my day. THANK YOU!
I have a question, too. We have an outdoor cat who is utterly and absolutely AMAZING. She does all the things you hear about cats doing - and she's great at them ALL. She is very kind to bring us all sorts of bits and pieces when she has been hunting.
My question is this -- she and our big ol' dog, Major, are best buddies and usually sleep together. (Right now, they generally sleep in the garage under a heat lamp my hubs provides.)
But a lot of the time, Sandy goes off on her own. Her favorite place to watch the world is atop my car in the garage. Well, I don't know why she does that - BUT she also tracks cat prints alllllll over the car - AND if she must get sick she just does that right on the car as well.
Help!

Oh, my goodness! This column reminds me of a Bowl of Stew. I never heard what happened to it. What a wonderfully written piece. Please check this type-o: duck friend not bein(g). It's in the Dear Winston, part. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

I'll certainly take a look at that. Thank you. The Bowl of Stew ended because Phyliss passed away, and Tom was ill. Bless their hearts.

The final sequence made me laugh out loud! Great column - what a lovely mix of useful information and animal cuteness. The conversations between PC and Patches are pure gold. Well done!

We have a cat at No.10 Downing Street where the prime minister (we don't have a president in the UK) lives. Politician's come and go according to the whim of the electorate but there is always a cat at No.10. He lives there, the PMs are only there for their holidays, when they compete with each other to see how much damage they can do.
Can you get me Trump's autograph 'cause he must have won that game on your side of the pond?
Signed Paddy

So, you have a cat at No. 10 Downing Street who is a permanent resident. How interesting. Sorry, no access to President Trump's signature. Dreading inauguration day.

Thanks for this fun column. All the animals on the page are very intelligent, thoughtful and curious. They enjoy learning. Maybe Lily needs to keep a small bucket handy in case she has another vomiting incident. That would be much easier for LisaMay! It could sit next to her food dish and water dish.
