A package did him in! I suppose he's never heard of the Unabomber, or others who sent bombs through the mail. And since your hero died, I don't suppose he ever will. Nice story, good luck in the contest.

The author is good story teller. Tension is built through the story. It is hard to believe one would wait till next day to open it instead of calling 911 for help.
This is about safety especially in our current environment.

If Igor a suspicious package like that with a warning I would have notified the police to come get it. And get rid of it fir sure, evertse a chance on the unknown.

This is a TWILIGHT ZONE like story that builds suspense slowly. The key is that the reader wonders what he would do if he received such a package with a warning. The narrator's indecision also adds to the suspense. At the end, we wonder who would do such a thing. This is a first-rate flash-fiction horror story.

Wow. This is so well executed (pardon the play on words). The tension built to a point where it could have been either a positive or negative outcome. Creepy and smart. Left me with a real chill.
