Hello Sally, a very good 5/7/5 about the peacock, but these words could apply to a great many people whose middle name is Vanity - perhaps without the plumes though LOL! Lovely picture - they are beautiful when they open their fan feathers, but they are noisy and quite snappy beggars. We had one some years ago. Another good piece of work from you. Love and good luck - Dorothy xxx

This 5-7-5, Envy, has the proper formatting and suggests an even deeper concern than envy, being the ego of one who has accepted his superiority.

Hi dear Sa;;y,
Smiled and giggled all through this one! How clever and creative it
is to impact both nature and character of this eccentric and proud
Peacock, and her full plumaged punch line fanned right in our faces..
LOL...all in this 5-7-5 poem! Funny thought occurred too, that
sometimes there are 'people' among us who are curiously as
conceited and 'full plumaged' and either too casually or knowingly
fan it in our faces or around us....LOL....
Thanks for sharing and best of luck in contest!!!

(Slowly trying to catch up dear, wow you are such a prolific and
prodctive poet! Bless you for it too!
Love, blessings, Ronni

Hello Sal,
I really enjoyed this :) It made me laugh and you perfectly summed up the peacock's personality/nature in your 5-7-5.
Gorgeously presented and well written.

How many of us have been envious of somebody or something else? I know I have. It's wrong but we're human and it happens. I enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you the best of luck.

Thank you so much for your review. I lived most of my life near a peacock farm in Winter Park, Florida. I loved to go and look at them regularly. I have one more peacock poem coming soon. I really think they are beautiful and special. Sending you my best today as always,

Sally you 5-7-5 poem about being Envy of the peacock showing its beautiful plume, I wish I had the self confidence that the peacock is proud to show.

The peacock when it is in full plume, it is a sight to behold. We had a farm not far from us when I lived in New Mexico and it had a couple of peacocks on the farm. I got to see them several times as they were in full plume.

Sally,
What a wonderful poem. You exude self-confidence in this poem. I love your impressionistic photo of the peacock. I think they're the most beautiful bird on earth. Your poem is sweet and it put a smile on my face.
Good luck in the contest.
Blessings
Cindy.
