Everyone needs something. Something that is unique to them, a special something that uplifts the soul. It doesn't have to be anything grand, for you it is the purple things in the world. And if it put a smile on your face then that is perfect.

What a wonderful way of describing purple. It's sometimes somber, like a priest's vestments during Lent, or like the color of the celebratory candles of advent, all of which I remember in the Catholic Church. I really like your artwork and the poem is extraordinary.

I too think purple is a great colour that actually defies accurate description. Your picture here is at the blue end of purple but there is a red end to purple that is almost pink. Did you know it is not even in the spectrum?

I love this and the colors you chose to go along with it - the pastel purple background with a deep purple flower to stick out. Lavender is usually associated with calming, stress relief, and more as an herb and I like to think that's why we associate the color with the same effects :)
