"To lie, deceive hurts you the most
yet, others also take offence.
The things you say, or write, or post,
remove your friends from your defence." sometimes you wonder how is possible to live with lies, hurts and deceiving, but you just do it. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

I don't suppose anyone is completely honest ALL the time, but we learn through time who is most honest and trustworthy. As you say, our honesty may sometimes make people mad, but lying to them regularly would surely male them madder!

Amen to that! In the end, truth is all that matters when all the dirt and rubble have been sifted out. It is only the gold that will remain. And the more honest we have been to ourselves and others through life, the greater the reward will be when the journey ends.

Jaybird,
You've written a very lovely poem.
How priceless the truth is in every aspect of life.
If anyone has been a victim of cruel rumors, they know the thrush doesn't always win at first.
Two correction should be:
Offen s e use s instead of c. Same with defen. S .
Good luck in the contest Jaybird.
Have a safe, wonderful week.

If only more people thought his way. Be good to those around you and act in an honest fashion. This is a wonderful message to be putting out there in the world.

Absolutely, Jay. I couldn't agree more. And I try to live up to that, but sometimes the truth is not very well received. As we see right now, in the Western world. I loved your poem. Ulla:)))

More poetic wisdom from a philosopher "In the key of life" (as Stevie Wonder would say.) Dishonesty, my father used to tell me is like sand...you may tamp it and moisten it for awhile, but it will dry up and fall apart. The truth, he added, is like a solid brick...one upon the other you can be sure the foundation you are building will stand proud and tall.--Karenina

This writing hits home. Truth telling within yourself and others is vital. If you deceive, eventually it will come back and bite you. Well said in your poem.
Your writings have life wisdoms that enrich us with each read.
