Bill - these short tantalizing samplers definitely wet the apatite for what is yet to come. It is indeed refreshing to witness two professionals treating each other with dignity and respect. LOL - Jerry

Hi Bill. LOL This is nonsense of course, but good fun nonetheless. Realizing it is not serious stuff makes it a lot easier to digest and review. II liked these bits in particular though:

"Maybe I should lead with that last question," said D'weir, grinning."

And here: ""Fifteen minutes. Marshmallow in my office; Kong in interrogation; the Hee Haw gang -- wherever."

Good job, Bill. I am enjoying it. Bob

I figured Bull Schlitz and Weirdo would be the tip off.

Schlitz keeps getting more interesting. He seems to have things under control but he has a odd way of telling people what to do. He doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor, but he does like to give nicknames to everyone. I don't think he someone I'd feel comfortable around.

Bull is as unique as I can make him. I will throw some more odd ticks in there.

This short chapter moves the plot along now that the five zoo personnel are at the police station. Even though police are notoriously slow, they might get information.

These are fictional cops, so time might fly.

That Bull kinda grows on ya, doesn't he? He reminds me a little bit of the chief on Chicago PD (the guy that has 50,000 ways to move his mouth when he's not talking.) And the questions he wanted to be used for interrogation ending with, "Why'd you kill him?"

A good chapter.

So why is Bull avoiding looking at his weirdo assistant? Is he afraid that locking eyes with him will cause him to be controlled by another power? Guess I'll have to wait to see what the next post will reveal.

Dear Bill, I am getting used to Bull calling everybody derogatory names.
In the end, I guess it makes no difference if he captures the bad guys with enough evidence to see that they are prosecuted and pay for their crime.

Correct. Nothing Bull does is without purpose.

Bull is no longer playing around, Something tells me that D'weir had better watch out. He may be coming close to pissing Bull off and that probably would not be a good thing to have happen.

Inspector Schlitz seems to be non-transparent in that he is always looking everywhere but at his inquisitor. And, yes, nicknames for everybody in his department. Weirdo doesn't seem to be too swift in establishing what to do. Knowing there is information in a folder and not reading that info as well as not knowing what questions to ask. Inspector Schlitz sounds a bit miffed by this detective.

I misspell his name every time. I actually fixed it four times in this chapter. Make that five.

This new detective doesn't seem to be on the ball. If he had the report he should have looked at it. The way Bull is treating him seems to be well deserved. Keep'em coming. I can't wait to read the next installment.
