Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This is so cute and so like the little boys I know. They do consider taking action with swords, yet they want so much to snuggle with their grandmothers and mothers.

This reminds me of my two youngest grandsons, who are the gentlest and sweetest little boys one can imagine, but both play with their super hero dolls in a most aggressive way, even gentle little boys have those male like tendencies.
(Thank God) well done, blessings Roy

Another fine poem, Gypsy--oh, the adventures we had when we were young. I remember being a ferry boat captain and sailing my grandmothers' ottoman to exotic ports of call!

Gypsy,

Your little poem is nicely paired with your illustration. I know you cuddle with YOUR grandson so maybe this Haiku is a bit biographical (-;

Broadsword is a fine alliterative word choice for your story. Broadaxe is another medieval weapon and may be a more descriptive word to go with 'brutal' IMHO.

    Believe it or not I played dungeons and dragons when I was very young. My character was a fierce Warrior named, Luz (light in spanish). My weapon was a double sided sword.

Hello
Okay this made me laugh. I can just see this little guy. There is one at the barn i ride at. a wee terror with his tiny soldiers and so very loving with the Shetland pony...though perhaps in his heart 'lucky the Pony' is a battle horse and he is a warrior

    May I ask why you gave me four stars? Is there a way I can improve my poem?

I love that this poem reflects the big, exciting ideas of wielding power and strength while also conveying the inner truth of softness and love. This poem is very yin and yang, great work.

This is really cute, Gypsy. Broadsword battles are fun to plan but only when one gets to cuddle with Gran afterward, who is an experience swords' woman.

Excellent addition to you Renga book, and beautiful presentation here.

This is an awesome presentation, Gypsy. I love the picture and the multi-colored font used. Your words are descriptive and so true of young soldiers. This is one of your best renga poems.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

A brave little soldier falls asleep in grandma's arms after defending the fort from invisible monsters. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.
