I think you are so right with your attitude - we do indeed need to know good and bad elements so we can appreciate our blessings. You've expressed your thoughts and concepts well; there are just several grammar and spelling suggestions I have:
They (There) are so many babies that have been borne (born) this year.
For example, if Coronella was not here in 2020, I will (change will to would) never get (change get to have gotten) a chance to know what an amazing province I live in.
I am not saying that 2020 was an easy year(add comma here) but just think

The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.
