I can see that you sleep well, Melissa. :) it is a lovely minute poem. I wrote one and it's alright but the words are simple and the flow is okay. I need to get into my dictionary and read it. Thank you for sharing.

A very well-written minute poem about the moonlit lullaby that comes like a silent tune. The moonbeams notes s as bf across the floor, songs they lulled the listener to sleep.

Excellent artwork to compliment your musings of the moon. We were only talking about the full moon keeping people awake. I guess it controls many things, including the tides. We still plant by the moon. Well done.

Hello Melissa,
This is a fine poem, and what a lovely way to drift off to sleep.
I particularly lked the first line, with its enchanting paradow:
I heard the silence of the moon
Have a good day, Katherine

This is beautiful, Melissa! I loved this stanza:
"Its beams sang notes across my floor
old troubadour
contented sighs
vague lullabies"
You made a visual thing audible and it's such a great poetic technique!
Hope you do well in the contest!!

Melissa,

OK, your selected illustration got me! Exquisite phrasing matches the same. Rhyme scheme is perfect too.

This entry will do fine in the voting!

Stay safe and healthy in the New Year.

A beautifully written poem Melissa, the minute poem brings to the fore the ability ofbthe poet, such a simple form, so the use of device and narrative become important, and this is a good one, well done, blessings Roy

Your minute poem is superb in every respect--skillfully- composed and beautifully worded. The imagery is very appealing--the ideas of hearing silence and unuttered songs lulling you to sleep. Delightful! And so is the artwork.

Soft and sweet and comforting minute poem... Reminiscent of the lullabies we heard (and gave) when either we were little ones or we had little ones... A reminder that music always soothes the soul!--Karenina

-Beautiful artwork, Melissa.
-A well written minute poem
that meets all of the requirements.
-A good topic, effective imagery, and rhyme.
-There is a peaceful mood, too, with
"the silence of the moon" and
"contented sighs."
-I like the line about the beams
singing notes; it adds to
the fanciful nature of the poem.
-Very well done; good luck in the contest.
