Very good. Fear of celebrities, now that's a new one. I myself fear newscasters because they tend to ruin my day. Good free form piece, solid ending, supported well by the art work. Great job, good luck in the contest.

Fear not my friend. For I fear that they may fear you much, much more. There have been far more celebrities harmed by fans than the reverse. That you would rather keep your distance and adore them from afar is actually wise, because up close you might be able to view all the scars hidden from you when you view them on screen.

Fear of celebrities.
Celebrities Phobia

Hello, anonymous,

Interesting entry for the Phobias writing prompt contest.

Phobia and fear is the same thing so your first line is repetitious.

Suggestion...

My phobia is celebrities,
It gives me chills, I don't know why, but I do.

They frighten me, and beat up my silly spirit.

I can't get near them. If I meet one, I'll get in trouble,
I think I'll pass,
for my sake.
It's better to never meet them.
I'll always have this fear.

A very well-written poem about the phobos of celebrities that make us anxious to be around them with their appearance of a higher authority that we cannot reach on our level.

This is very honest and forthcoming with the admittance of a lack of insight into why you have this phobia. I like your writing style and your way of voicing how you feel. I am only left with one question for which I merely ask for clarification. The line, "Better to meet neither," who do you mean like the other than celebrities? To accept that you choose to meet "neither" implies that there might be some other type of person or phobia that you haven't mentioned in the poem or the Author's notes that you want to 'say no' to.
Other than that puzzlement of mine, I like what I read a lot and think this is an excellent portrayal of one who has a phobia. Thank you for sharing, and keep writing.
Jesse

There are so many types of fears, and the degree of severity varies. If I met celebrities, I might find I have the same phobia! LOL! Note: "Fear of phobia" is misworded.

I have never heard of this phobia before and you made me smile! It's not everyday you meet a celebrity so you don't have to worry, and I have never met one! I did sleep in the same building as Prince Edward once at Cambridge University when he was studying through the summer! Ha ha ha, love Dolly x

Yellow is one of my favorite colors. The color of the picture already helps me to give a high ratings. I like the poem. I agree some people have: "fear of celebrities phobia." You are right, they may get "chills," and are "frightened." There is no reason and no explanation why it happens.

Secretly I do not have fear for celebrities but may not necessary say the right thing. I remember at one time, I sat next to a famous Chinese singer, I said to her,"I watched your show when I was a child." She wasn't pleased. My partner whispered to me, "You are implying she is aged."

I don't understand why we should be afraid of celebrities. Most of them are pretty on the outside and ugly on the inside! The phobia expressed by you is felt by most of us as we get overawed by the show! I enjoyed reading this short poem. Good luck!
Merry Christmas!

I don't think I've ever heard of celebrophobia so far, but I have now.

This is most definitely an unusual phobia and I can imagine some of them might well bring on severe anxiety.

Wishing you great luck in the voting booth.
