Thank you for your cheerful, encouraging, picture of a traditional Christmas like we all want to remember in this very untraditional and rarely cheerful year. I enjoyed this very much and also appreciate your lovely author notes. Thank you for your expressions of gratitude and for the gift of $1.02 also. I'm grateful as well. ;p MM

A very well constructed rictameter that is a joy to read this holiday season. The words in the poem bring out delicious visual images of the Christmas season.

A beautiful rictameter, a clever formation for poetry, and it seems to suit your theme particularly well. The poem is well-written, celebrating the beautiful traditions and togetherness. Thank you for your greetings, and many blessings to you too.

A fun poem full of all the things that help make Christmas a favorite time of year, especially for kids. FanStory is a great site, I have enjoyed it for about 10yrs now. Make new friends all the time. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

No doubt about it. It is about to go down. Once again, pandemic be damned, the world is about to lose itself in joy and merriment. Gift exchanges, kisses beneath the mistletoe, you name it, it will be going on until the hangover and we have to wake to the cold reality that the world has not changed for the better, we are still knee deep in racial division, a pandemic that seems to be determined not to go away, a president who lost but refuses to accept defeat. It is a shame that Christmas does not last until we find a cure for all of the world's problems.

Nomi, yes the perfect word SHAME. If we could all just cling to the the
Master taught us, many times in scripture:

Mark 12:31 'Love your neighbor as yourself...
Leviticus 19:18 :You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against
any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself:
    I am the Lord.

My friend....There is a prerequisite to loving thy neighbor. ?God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. ... But, if we love each other,
God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.?

Nomi, May you receive the Highest and Best blessing from the Master
for you use for yourself, your loved ones, your ministry and the world we
    all seek healing for, JLR

You have great shape with this one, like a Chinese lantern, it throws light on the Christmas proceedings. I liked your line 6. That will keep him out of her knickers. He'll be out for the count by 3.00 p.m.
