Wrapping gifts requires techniques. I aways admire how the gift wrappers do it in department store.

Choosing the gift wrap paper isn't easy either. I always think of the person who will receives the gift before I choose the paper.

Good work

ha really cute and has a nice ending. Some really funny lines like "forgive me - I just swore." and "I bought a diff'rent gift for you, one that is cute and small." is a great twist.

What a grand picture to go with your poem!

The 'wrapping gift quandary' ... I've been there!

Your meter and rhythm were precise and enjoyable.

A great solution to your problem!

Well done!

Hahaha! That's so cute! Thanks so much for sharing the annoyance of having to gift wrap an oddly-shaped gift. I haven't been to a shopping mall all year so your adventure is quite brave! Best wishes in the contest!

I really like this creative and very funny write alongside the picture you chose to go with it. I think most people can relate to this on some level. Good writing.

I believe Christmas presents are not an issue when it comes to what you wrap or how you wrap, but most important is for whom you wrap. If you give a special person a gift, that makes it special. Happy holidays!

That's true - it will always be the thought that counts, and not the wrapping paper... i.e. it's what's on the inside that matters most.

I really like your poem. There is so much truth in it, wrapping gifts can be hard, but I like the solution you came up with - get it gift wrapped at the mall. Well done.

This Christmas poem, How to Wrap a Present, takes the reader through the trial and error and eventual abandonment of the wrapping challenge. Funny.

Oh Wrapping Fiasco Mystery Writer,
I have a feeling that we have all been there....and done that!
Wrapping or attempting to wrap a present without getting all wrapped up in it.
I liked this little whimsical write and I think I shall vote for it...because it simply made me laugh!
Thank you dear wrapping master.
