As I am writing this, we are looking at the end of April 2021. Things have gotten better, but in the states we still have to be cautious. God is good and He would never want us to have this virus over our land.

This is an interesting perspective on the current pandemic situation. It is certainly timely, since we are all dealing with it in one way or another. As for me, I can't wait for the vaccine.

Dear Iza,
Dear Iza,

I don't agree with what this story intends. The governments of the world are simply trying to prevent us from getting sick. Staying indoors, social distancing, mask wearing it seems to me are small sacrifices to make it seems to me for protecting yourself and others from spreading the virus. I for one will be first in line when it comes my turn you can be assured. It is well written though so I have to award a five.

Interesting chapter. I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion, but the story is well written.
"Then they locked us in the house and we learned how to work from home on improvised desks and older computers." Nicely done.

Hi Iza. I won't be eager to take the needle either, my friend. I do think the stuff probably works, but I am going to wait and see for a while. See how many survive, f I can get away with it before I die instead. LOL Bob

No, it's not okay, Iza -- you should start speaking out... ;) It's really not going to completely pass, my lady, it is only a question of what will remain when the dust settles... :/ :/ Thanx for sharing and keep on smiling! ;) Yvette

It's a nice synopsis of the Coronavirus saga. We have been through the ups and downs of it, getting locked down, opened up, and then getting locked down again. I am with you. I will wait a year or so to see what's up with this vaccine. Normally, they take years to develope, and they are usually only about 50% effective with coronaviruses. This one has had a few severe allergic reactions already. But my sources tell me it is likely to be required at some point. Airlines, European countries, west coast states and northeast states are all likely to require it. The companies are waiting for immunity from lawsuits to require it. But it will be a public relations issue so I think it is likely they will require it at some point. estory

Hi I have put some corrections in ( ...) for you to think about. Yup we will indeed get by, which is better than dying from this dang thing....

When Coronella attacked us we lost our minds. The toilet paper, Lysol,(and) hand sanitizer were trending hotter than gold. We learnt to get by, and wait until the storm passed. After three months we started to find them in all the stores. The same things(thing) happened with the masks and gloves, now you can buy them everywhere. At the beginning our provincial government gave them away for free, just to be safe.

Then they locked us in the house and we learnt how to work from home on improvised desks and older computers. We got by and we started to enjoy our short Albertan summer. We started to live again... a little. They open(opened) the restaurant, the libraries, the gyms; we were allowed to travel a little bit. We learnt to get by with little.

Now, winter is here. They locked again the restaurants(again), the libraries, us... the(no the) Christmas! The city decided to take Coronella in its own hands and started to give us fines for not wearing a mask, for breaking the curfew and trying to see our dear ones. It's okay we will get by, as usual. Now they are saying there is an anti-Coronella vaccine, but they are not sure if it's working or what are the side effects (are). We are the(no the) guinea pigs for it. I am not taking(it), I will wait it out. This shall pass, and we will get by as usual.

To whomsoever,
For an entertaining, cleverly Libertarian or more likely a Contrarion take, a fiver.
I have a trifle more sense of the import of this plague. My grandparents succumbed to the Spanish Influenza in the early years of the last century. My grandfather died in 1915 and my Swedish immigrant grandmother, a registered nurse, infected at the hospital where she worked, in 1918. Aged thirty-three and thirty, respectively, they left my mother and her two sisters as orphans to a less than charitable congregation. Hark back to the black death of the middle ages when God was plainly angry and left the world to the evilness all about. Yes, this too shall pass, some that is, those who can survive by the courtesy of others and the promise of a shield of a vaccine. It is as with infantile paralysis, rubella, and small pox. When all observe the proper precautions, when everyone is vaccinated, then the instances of infection can fall to a computational zero. Those who do not will always be at risk of a wild infection. Even Canada had its rampant infections that killed everyone not susceptible in the mid to late nineteenth century, even as isolated as those settlements were in those days. Be safe and stay well.
Live long and write well, Fantasist
