I liked your use of rhythm, alliteration, and echoing effects to create this sparkling image of the snow in the light. "Breathe in the silvery, glistening sight, the fluffy, pure white fantasy" you really create this dream like, uplifting, airy effect there. estory

Very nice. One of my favorite things about FS is the little nudges we get from fellow writers to "give it a try"---it expands out poetic horizons and gifts our readers with a new side of us we hadn't yet nurtured.--Karenina

I like this poem! I especially like the ending about keeping warm with peaceful thoughts! I'm not too crazy about the picture though, I would have liked to see an actual snow globe here. Nice flow about the snow!

Thank you for the encouraging review. I appreciate you pointing out what you liked and the suggestion for improvement. I guess I could have continued to look for a snow globe with the view from the inside, but I gave up. Oh, to be an artist...

I hear you! I struggle with the same issue. I am trying to learn digital art, but I cannot even sketch. All of my creative flow goes into words.

I really like this poem, but I had to turn on my space heater after reading it! LOL I especially like the way you referred to the snow as a "snow globe fantasy" and I love this description also: "the fluffy pure white fantasy"
Thank you for sharing!

Powerful wintry imagery and visuals - this made me miss the East Coast, here in the deserts of Nevada (smile). You paint very evocative images for the reader, and they stay with him.

Excellent presentation and artwork. Thank you very much for sharing, I enjoyed this.

I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the imagery. Yes, I can imagine Nevada is more sandy than snowy. I like the snow as long as I don't have to shovel too much of it.

Delightful--elegant imagery, fine work in the form so aptly named--I recently read Mary Kay's and Helen's version--yours does justice to the elegance to the reflective nature of this style.

Is it fair to assume that you are not in New England tonight? Your sweet description of a snow flurry does not square with today's nor'easter. But, what do I know. I played golf today in Texas. Thanks for a visit to the snowy side.

You guessed correctly; I am not in New England. I am in the Rocky Mountains. The snow has been fairly light so far, which is not good for the ski resorts. More storms will be coming.
    Thanks for the great comments.

Awesome poetry. Loved the soft tones of the entire poem. You have brought the beauty of the snow globe to life. Indeed this poem is so warm, exemplified by the last line. I felt at peace reading your poem.

This is a light hearted piece, which appears to have been inspired by a snow globe. The rhymes work well, and I liked the line "Enjoy the crunch of snow beneath my feet."
