Your poem Christmas Morn is like a gift that keeps on giving. All of the joyful traditions you wrote about are so simple and true..leaving only the crumbs on your late night cookie plate- a touch of tasty realism..

It's sad that many children don't know the story of Christmas, what it represents, and why we celebrate it. Many countries don't believe in it, which is sadder. What I liked about your Christmas poem, was that you did put the true meaning before the gifts under the tree. Well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

Sandra, yes I lament for all those families this holiday season who lost loved ones from a virus of such virulence that it affected many families and may have not had a Christ relationship.

These were such incredible Christmas visuals that I felt I was in that room, with the tree lit, Christmas stockings hanging, and the magic of Christmas in the air. I liked your rhymed couplets and the holiday imagery.

So beautifully penned...and yet, this year, with Covid keeping up from such traditions, how bittersweet that the very best gift we can give is to maintain separation and not take the chance to make one we love sick...
It is making this a blue Christmas for me, although I am speaking with the grands often...but oh, just my husband and I on Christmas morn! I will be difficult, I know... Karenina

This is a wonderful poem about what is the best part of Christmas....family. Of course the decorations and presents are great, but without family they mean nothing. Best of luck in the contest.
