Nicely said, poet! I love your quiet, gentle rhyme scheme in this. The penultimate quatrain is my favorite; I can really relate to that. I'm also happy to see you've put tacos high on your list of happy things! Good luck in the contest.

I feel inclined to agree with you, one can't be separate from what they write, it is them. Their essence and emotions, passion are transferred to paper, and their one has it. Beautifully written in rhyming, in slightly varied meter in abcb rhyme and articulated well, good job, good luck, blessings Roy

You've pinpointed your true love in this verse very poetically, which proves that your love of poetry is having an effect. Loving our family is taken as a given (I hope), so it is always interesting to read about what else it is that causes happiness.
