I totally understand the feeling of the loss of a loved one. I have gone through that experience.
I like this poem, throughout the history of mankind, the author has given us many pieces of advice. One of the best is to let go off the past and look forward to the future.

The ground is Rich for the living memories are enriched and meant to be savored.
But not to be meant to be live in the past.
But to never forget and honor those we so loved and lost.
